Graham Levene - Managing Director

One of the original founders of SMB, Graham is responsible for ensuring the business continues to grow, something it has done consistently now for over 10 years.

"It's not just a question of growth for the sake of it; we want to make SMB a byword for customer service, good practice, quality and efficiency. If we have all of these elements in place, expansion has to be the natural progression.

"Over the years, we have amassed an excellent workforce and I believe that we have proven these sentiments beyond doubt as we now have an impressive 38 employees, 15 of whom are productive."

"The job requires that I work long hours - and that is my choice - but at weekends, I enjoy quad-biking with my sons; perhaps a round of golf, and generally enjoying family life."

Gill Knott - Accounts Administrator

Gill Knott - Accounts Administrator

Starting with SMB in 2008, Gill deals with all of the finance and accounts needs of the business. As one of the newer employees she says:

"I moved from working at a Housing Charity in Oldham to SMB and have been delighted by the welcoming, friendly atmosphere."

"It may sound a bit silly but it really does have a family feeling with everyone mucking in to get things done."

Adrian Marrow - Customer Service Manager

Adrian Marrow - Customer Service Manager

With seven years under his belt at SMB, Adrian is often one of the first faces customers see when they enter the company premises.

He said: "Everyone works well together and that means we all get on."

"It can be quite frantic at times as we have so many vehicles passing through our hands; but we have strict guidelines and operating procedures to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible"

"To relax and chill out, I get the quad bike out and take to open land for a bit of a blast in the fresh air. Either that, or spending quality time with my better half."

Paul Gibson - Site Manager

Paul Gibson - Site Manager

Paul joined SMB in 2008 and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the whole SMB Group site. Everything from looking after the customers to making sure the workshop has everything they need to run efficiently.

With over 22 years in the motor trade and the last 10 years as a manager Paul has worked at Ford and many of the largest independent garages in the North West.

Karen Graham - Service Administrator

Karen Graham - Service Administrator

Karen is our help desk” the other staff say. With more than 8 years with SMB she’s the one everyone turns to when they want to know how to do something.

Karen deals with the service side of the operation, liaising with insurance companies and their engineers, looking after jobs going through the bodyshop and generally making sure everything is running as it should.

Dawn Lewis - Service Administrator

Dawn Lewis - Service Administrator

With 5 years at SMB, Dawn works alongside Karen to make sure that all of the customer’s work is progressing properly.

She says, "As with any job there are stressful days but because we have a friendly team there are also plenty of fun ones. We’ve got a good relationship with the engineers who visit and the insurance companies who are dealing with their customers claims"

Matthew Levene - Customer Service Advisor

Matthew Levene - Customer Service Advisor

Matthew joined the family firm in 2008 and his role means he has daily contact with SMB’s customers. Dealing with bookings, progress updates, new enquiries and estimates Matthew makes sure all clients are kept up-to-date with every stage of their repair.
